How to Edit Cash Flow Allocation Types

In this article, you will learn how to manually edit Cash Flows in Arch

Updated over 9 months ago

If you identify a Cash Flow that should be changed in the Account Activity, Tasks, or Cash Flows pages, or if you notice that a recent Cash Flow affected an investment's financials incorrectly on your Holdings page, you are able to make manual adjustments yourself by following these steps:

Steps

  1. Identify the Cash Flow

    1. On the Account Activity page, you can select "Details" on a Cash Flow line item

    2. On the Cash Flows page, you can also select "Details" on any line item

    3. On the Tasks page

      1. First, select the Task with the Cash Flow data you are looking to change

      2. Second, select "View or edit" to navigate to the Cash Flow itself

  2. Edit the Cash Flow data, and finalize the changes by selecting "Save" at the bottom right of the page

    1. You can edit Cash Flow allocation types and amounts using the drop down fields

    2. If you would like to add an allocation line item, ensure that the "Specify Allocation Breakdown" checkbox is checked, and then add the necessary allocation types and amounts

Through this process, please reference the Arch Transaction Guide to identify how Arch uses specific allocation types to affect financial data. Additionally, if you believe the original Arch processing was an error instead of an accounting preference, please reach out to support@arch.co, through Intercom, or submit a Review Request so our team can look into a fix for the future.
