How to Edit an Expected Tax Document Status

In this article you will learn how to edit or remove and expected document on the Tax Documents page.

When working on the Tax Document page, you may notice a holding listed with a "Waiting" status that you know will not be receiving any tax documentation for the year. You are able to remove that line item or mark it as "Not Expected This Year" directly from the Tax Documents page.

Steps to Edit an Expected Document

  1. Navigate to the Tax Documents tab on the left side of your portal

  2. Find the relevant holding by clicking the magnifying glass or filter icon on the right-hand side of the page

  3. Once you have found the holding, click on the pencil icon under the 'Actions' header on the far right side of that line item

  4. You will then be able to add an expected date for the document or notify Arch of any changes regarding whether the document will be received

    1. If you select 'Document is expected in general, but not this year,' the line item will move to a status of 'None This Year.'

  5. If you select the Trash Can button on the far right of a line item in the table, that line item will be removed from the Tax Documents page completely, and any documents contained within it will be deleted from Arch. Additionally, a new line item will not be rolled over into the following tax year. Deleting a line item in one tax year will not delete the same line items from previous tax years.
