Setting Up Two Factor Authentication on Arch

Updated over a year ago

Multi-factor Authentication is available to Arch users upon request, please reach out to your Arch operations manager or via Intercom to turn this on!

Steps

  1. Once the 2fa has been turned on for the user on the Arch side, they will be prompted to enroll either through SMS or an authenticator app on their phone (typically Google or Microsoft is used).

  2. If SMS is preferred click on the "I'd rather user SMS" option

    1. Next input your number and you will receive a text with a code to confirm your identity

  3. If an authentication app is preferred, you will scan the QR code seen above with your authenticator app which will then provide a one time password which can be used to confirm your identity

  4. If using an authentication app, to find the 6-digit code the next time you log-in, you will need to open your authenticator app and find the code located underneath the line titled "archlabs:youremail."

  5. If using SMS, after inputting your log-in information a code will automatically be sent to your phone number on file which will allow you to confirm your identity.
