Steps to add a new holding
Navigate to the Holdings tab on the left hand side of your screen
Click on the building with a + sign icon next to the word "Holdings" (You can also navigate to this workflow through your Settings page, by selecting the "Create Investment" option under the Administration section)
First, you will input the Investor or investing entity
Tip: you are able to add a holding to multiple investing entities at the same time!
Second, choose what kind of investment it is from the drop down menu
ex: Fund, Company, Real Estate, etc.
Next, input the name of the Firm or the manager of the holding
If this is a new Firm, you will be able to create a new firm by typing the name and clicking create at the bottom of the drop down
After that, enter the legal name of the fund and choose the fund type (i.e. Venture Capital, Private Equity)
You will then be prompted to select whether the Arch email will be added to the subscription documents, or if Arch should reach out to the fund to link the investment.
If you will be adding Arch as an interested party, the relevant email will populate below with the following format: investor-firm@archdocuments.com
Once the email has been added to subscription documents, check the box next to "I've added the Arch email addresses to the subscription documents"
Next, you will be able to input any information you have about the tax documents the fund will issue
Lastly, click on the Save button at the bottom right corner and your holding will be added to your portal!
